CCA Description – Introduction/Aims/Objectives

“Singapore will need strong Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) capabilities as it moves ahead into the next 50 years”. At Outram Robotics Club, we aim to generate and develop student interest in STEM through making our activities fun and innovative. This can be done by providing avenues for students to exercise their creativity and cooperation in the conceptualization and development of models and preparation for competitions. The students would also be equipped progressively with the language for programming, problem solving skills and technological expertise to design and build miniature robots. Most importantly, we emphasise on the reinforcement of life skills such as team work, developing positive interactions and students’ leadership qualities, which matter significantly in the real-world.
