Elements of Business Studies
Students get to embark on learning journeys to various local attractions for experiential learning. There are also work attachment opportunities at prestigious hotels in Singapore.
EBS is assessed through
1) written paper (60%)
2) coursework (40%)
It is offered to Upper Secondary Normal (Technical) students.
Work Experience Programme (WEP)
In March 2014, four students were selected to participate in the 8-day EBS Work Experience Programme organized by MOE CPDD. The selected students were Tengku Soniea Bte Tengku S and Au Yue Ting from Sec 4/1 and Muhammad Kamaruzaman B Jamil and Sim En Yu from Sec 3/1. During the experience programme at Grand Park City Hall, students had acquired personal effectiveness in service-related skills, including communication, problem solving and making judgments. During their assessment, they were able to apply what they had learnt in school to real work situations. Students will able to appreciate the relevance and value of what they are learning in the academic curriculum and develop stronger motivation and purpose to acquire knowledge, skills and values.
