58th National Schools Swimming competition

OCBC Aquatic Centre

In a short intense week from 17th to 21st April, our swimmers took part in the 58th National Schools Swimming competition held at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. The competition marked the culmination of a few months of long and hard toiling to reach the apex of their forms to shine in this competition.

Ardi Zulhilmi, Sec 2/2 flew our school’s flag high by clinching 2 Individual Silver Medals in the C Division Boys 100m Butterfly and 400m Freestyle event. Other notable individual results included 7th positions for Chen Yanze, Sec 1/4 and Lum Jing Hao, Sec 4/2 while Khadeeja, Sec 5/1 attained the 8th position for her event.

Our C and B Girls Relay Teams also did well to qualify for the finals of the Freestyle and Medley relay respectively. On the other side of the pool, the C and B division Boys Relay Teams scored a respectable 5th position in both Freestyle and Medley relays, securing the 5th position in overall standings. Our swimmers have demonstrated nothing less than the spirit of excellence in giving their best, and with the support of the school, will continue to strive for better results in 2018 and beyond.
